Stellantis (which is the new company formed when Peugeot bought Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, Dodge) is killing it! Really. While they may be one of the most profitable car company in the world thanks to the RAM 1500, Stellantis also has more than few products they just can’t move off the dealer lots.

Why the Dodge Hornet Is Not Selling Well

We like the little Dodge Hornet which is based on the Alfa Romeo Tonale (and made on the same factory in Italy) but we wouldn’t consider it. With an average transaction price of over USD $41,000, it is one of the most expensive vehicles in its class and that class is full of popular winners. You could move up to a Tesla Model Y AWD for just a couple of thousand dollars more, and that is what people are doing.

Why the Dodge Charger, Challenger & Chrysler 300 Are Not Selling Well

Because the Chrysler group has ended production of the Charger, Challenger, and 300, while at the same time moving the prices up substantially for those products, they are having a heck of a time selling them. Who wants to buy a very expensive version of an end of life product? Not me, and apparently not very many consumers either.

Why the RAM 2500 & 3500 Are Not Selling Well

As for the RAM 2500 and RAM 3500, they probably aren’t selling because they are NOT built on the wildly popular RAM 1500 platform. They are still on the old platform, and that leaves them at a competitive disadvantage to Ford and General Motors heavy duty pickup trucks.

Why the Maserati Levante Is Not Selling Well

And last but not least is a Maserati Levante which is very high priced and built on an even older platform that pales in comparison to its competition.
